PRESS INFORMATION

3/5/2014

• Burglary and Theft of Property occurred in the 2600 block of Hammonds Drive between 2/28/2014 (2:00 PM) and 3/2/2014 (5:00 AM). Victim reported someone entered his residence through a window and stole a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, an Acer laptop computer, and a Hewlett Packard laptop computer. There is a suspect and the case is under investigation.

• Theft By Fraudulent Leasing or Rental occurred at 3734 Pepperell Parkway (Home Smart) between 3/23/2013 (2:00 PM) and 3/4/2014 (12:00 PM). Complainant reported an individual came into the business and signed a lease/rental agreement for a lawn tractor, a top load washer, and a top mount refrigerator. According to the complainant the account is now delinquent. There is a suspect and the case is under investigation.

• Theft By Fraudulent Leasing or Rental occurred at 3734 Pepperell Parkway (Home Smart) between 12/5/2013 (12:00 PM) and 3/4/2014 (12:00 PM). Complainant reported and individual came into the business and signed a lease/rental agreement for an Intel laptop computer and a 30 watt 5-disc mini shelf system. According to the complainant the account is now delinquent. There is a suspect and the case is under investigation.

• Burglary and Theft of Property occurred in the 1200 block of Staley Avenue between 2/28/2014 (1:00 AM) and 3/4/2014 (10:30 AM). Victim reported someone forcibly entered two storage buildings that are on his property. According to the victim a desktop computer, a Craftsman 10" chop saw, a Craftsman pressure washer, Gemini Speakers, a Hughes & Kettner piano amp, and an Ensoniq vintage piano keyboard were taken. There are no suspects and the case is under investigation.

• Theft of Property occurred in the 400 block of Avenue B between 8/27/2013 (12:00 PM) and 2/18/2014 (12:00 PM). Victim reported a 1990 Mercedes Benz and a 4.6 liter Ford motor and transmission were removed from his property with an agreement they were going to be repaired. The victim learned the vehicle and auto parts were later sold without his permission or knowledge. There are suspects and the case is under investigation.
