ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — A man has been sentenced to life plus 70 years in prison for raping a recent University of Georgia graduate during a home invasion.

The Athens Banner-Herald reported Thursday that Allen Hendric Robinson was found guilty of rape, burglary, false imprisonment, and additional charges in the July 2012 assault.

During her testimony, the victim said she was preparing to move back to her hometown when she was attacked.

The woman told the court a week before she was attacked, Robinson approached her and asked if he could use her cellphone, then asked if he could use an outlet to recharge his.

She said he locked the door behind him and turned the volume up on a television but the woman's roommate returned home while he was there.
