CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A traveling medical technician who infected dozens of patients in multiple states with hepatitis C through tainted syringes will learn this morning how long he'll have to spend in prison.
David Kwiatkowski (kwiht-KOW'-skee) has admitted stealing painkillers and replacing them with saline-filled syringes tainted with his blood.
Under a plea agreement he could get up to 40 years in prison. He'll appear in a federal court in New Hampshire for sentencing.
