Two Central High School Baseball Players signed Letters of Intent to play baseball at Division I schools.
Blake Johnson signed with the University of Alabama-Birmingham after hitting .346 with 18 stolen bases last season.
"It feels great," said Johnson. "I think it's been about eight years since we had a kid go D1 out of high school, and we have two this year. That's a great accomplishment."
Jamal Howard signed with the University of Alabama. Howard hit .365 with six home runs and also was Central's starting QB last season.
"To represent Central at the next level is an honor," said Howard. "It takes a lot of pressure off of me so now I can just focus on ball and worry about the season instead of where I'm going to college."
