COLUMBUS, GA - It's that time of the year again. Halloween is around the corner, and a few holiday festives are still looking for their costumes. Some are even putting their own swing into what they will be wearing.

"I'm planning on being 'The Great Gatsby. Some people say I look like Leonardo Dicaprio," Jeffery Livingston says.

"I'm going to be a zombie because they are cool, and I'm one of the fans of 'The Living Dead 2.' It's a game," Jared Whitfield says.

But what is the most popular costume this year? One local Halloween store says these costumes are flying off the shelves.

"One of the most popular costumes for this year is going to be any of the monster high costumes for the girls and then for the boys it would really be teenage mutant ninja turtles. We can't keep those on the shelf," Devon Wigle says.

What about for adults? What are they picking out this year for Halloween? Well, Devon says that pirates are the most popular costume of 2013."

"I think that's a consistence with pirates for both male and female because pirates have that romanticism in it," Wigle says.

So what is it about Halloween that puts everyone in the spirit. A few locals weigh in.

"What I like about Halloween is also the costumes and a lot of the candy," Benjamin Whitfield says.

"Everyone just gets to let go and have fun and do what they want to do. It's a time where you can be who you want to be and not be judged for it," Sarah Schweibert says.
