Body identified as missing Georgia woman

WARM SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) — Coroner's officials in western Georgia have identified a missing woman whose body was found in a shallow grave.

Meriwether County Coroner Johnny Worley says the body of 63-year-old Annie Bell Jarrett has been identified by relatives.

Jarrett, of Shiloh, was reported missing earlier this week and was found in a grave near a house she and her boyfriend shared.

No one has been charged in the woman's death, but her boyfriend is in jail after being charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Officials have not disclosed Jarrett's cause of death.

A funeral for Jarrett is set for Tuesday afternoon at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

Officials have said Jarrett is related to Shiloh Mayor, Jesse Ellison. The small town is about 30 miles northeast of Columbus.
