By Dee Armstrong (Atlanta, GA) Say the name Steve Harvey and you immediately think of a Hollywood success story and a wildly successful entertainer.
But, Steve Harvey says his media empire is not what makes him happy.
He believes he got the most joy out of his journey to get there.
Dee Armstrong sat down with him on the set of Family Fued, the number one talk show in this area, for a very frank conversation.
Part one: Spending the Day with Steve Harvey.
Music......."This is Family feud." "I love him. He looks so good in his suits."...Music....Family Feud appeared to be fading away, until Steve Harvey became the host....music......He has come a long way from his days of struggling as a stand-up comedian, living in his car. "Steve crying."...And he still can't hold back the tears when he thinks about he people who helped him when he had nothing. "Steve crys some more." But times have changed for him. Family feud is wildly popular not only because of what you see on television, but, because of how he connects to the hundreds of people who come just to see Steve. In fact, this is what you don't see behind the scenes. You don't see the long lines of people waiting to get inside. But, even in line theirs is an air of excitement and everyone knows Steve is right behind this wall. And once Steve comes out , its not to tape the show. He often talks for as long as a half hour with his contestants and audience and that's how he wants to be remembered. "I want people to remember me as someone who has a big heart. Someone who wanted to do something for someone else. "This is Family Feud.".......
