SEC MEDIA DAYS
By Chelsa Messinger
SEC Media Days could be considered College Football's biggest pre-season party.
And today, the guest list did not disappoint.
Entering the chaos behind a throng of reporters, Reigning Heisman Trophy-Winner Johnny Manziel kicked off Day Two of SEC Media Days.
The Texas A&M Quarterback has been anything but invisible this off season, sitting court side at NBA games, hanging out with rapper Drake, and partying with LeBron James.
But this past weekend, Manziel was reportedly sent home early from the prestigious Manning Passing Camp. Manziel's father told the Dallas Morning News that he left early after recovering from "dehydration".
Manziel was photographed the night before at bar along with Alabama Quarterback AJ McCarron.
But today, Manziel had a different story for leaving the camp early.
"For me, I just overslept," said Manziel. "My alarm on my phone didn't go off."
"It was nothing more than that. There was no going out the night before, we had social events every night at the Manning Camp. It was a mistake," said Manziel.
Texas A&M Coach Kevin Sumlin didn't seem happy about Manziel's off-field concerns, but vehemently shot down reporters when the word "suspension" came up.
"Has he made mistakes? Yes," said Sumlin.
"Is he proud of the decisions he made? No. He's made some poor decisions, he's made some great decisions. Unfortunately, the only ones we talk about are the poor decisions."
