(CNN) Classes resumed Thursday at one Alabama high school after vandals trashed the campus.
Students at Bullock County High School were sent home Wednesday after school officials discovered this mess.
Cooking oil and eggs were smeared on the walls, windows and floors.
The school's lawn was trashed...and there was hay and live chickens in the main hall.
Students were disappointed.
"The reason I was shocked because I thought that no one would ever do that to the school. You know, that's our school. That's like our home, you know."
Crews spent the day Wednesday cleaning it up.
School officials say nothing was taken from the school.
Authorities don't know whether it was just a prank, but say the vandals will be charged.
