SUPPORT THE TROOPS IS A CATCHY SLOGAN, A PITCH TO SOME, OTHERS TAKE THE PHRASE TO HEART, LIKE  LONGTIME BUSINESSMAN ART CHRISS, WHO TOGETHER WITH HIS DAD SERVED FORT BENNING SOLDIERS  FOR MORE THAN SIX DECADES.
    SOLDIERS AND CIVILIANS ALIKE ARE REMEMBERING CHRISS WHO PASSED AWAY AT HIS HOME IN SALEM OVER THE WEEKEND AFTER A BRIEF BATTLE WITH CANCER.
   CHRISS WAS A BAKER GRADUATE WHO WENT TO AUBURN AND CAME BACK TO SOUTH COLUMBUS TO RUN CHRISS TAYLORING, ARCCO AND HIS LATEST VENTURE "COMMANDOS" JUST CELEBRATED TEN YEARS AT THEIR VICTORY DRIVE LOCATION.
  ART CHRISS BEING REMEMBERED AS A GENEROUS MAN WHO GAVE BACK FREELY TO SHOW HIS SUPPORT FOR SOLDIERS AND A COUNTRY AT WAR. CHRISS WAS ALSO A DAD TO FOUR DAUGHTERS. HE LEAVES BEHIND HIS BUSINESS PARTNER AND WIFE OF 45 YEARS, SUSAN.
