OPELIKA, AL - New details in the capital murder case against the man accused of opening fire at an Auburn pool party last year.
Lawyers for 23-year-old Desmonte Leonard say they are seeking change of venue in the case.
This comes after Harvey Updyke's trial was moved out of Opelika to Elmore County. Attorney Susan James says that a change of venue in Leonard's case would be beneficial.
Wednesday's status hearing was delayed and is now set for May 16th.
Leonard has pleaded not guilty to all counts including capital murder, in connection to the shooting that killed three and injured three.
