By Staff Reports (Columbus, GA)- Former State Senator Mitch Seabaugh is touring Georgia to pitch the Path2College plan.
Seabaugh serves as the director of the state sanctioned college savings plan these days...and nothing gets parents attention like a sweepstakes for college money....they're giving away more than ten thousand dollars *each* to two Georgia students and their schools. Seabaugh tells NBC 38 parents are often surprised by additional costs of attending college beyond the tuition.
"We want to bring attention to the fact that we have a tool that can save for college. A lot of people think they'll send their children to school on the Hope scholarship. but there's a lot more to the cost of education than just tuition. There's other costs, there's room and board, there's book, there's fees. This product will allow people to save for those additional costs to get a college education," Seabaugh says.
The Path2College 529 Plan has a number of sweepstakes currently underway for newborns to new graduates. Winners will be announced in September. You can register to win on their web site www.path2college529.com
