DOD identifies five GA Soldiers killed in Afghanistan - WLTZ 38 | Columbus Georgia Regional News & Community

The Department of Defense has released the names of five US Service Members killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.

The are:

  STAFF SERGEANT MARC SKI-ALDO

  STAFF SERGEANT STEVEN BLASS

  CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER BRYAN HENDERSON

  SPECIALIST ZACHARY SHANNON

  CAPTAIN SARA KNUTSON.

All five were assigned to Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia.

Their helicopter went down in a rain storm.

Officials say there was no enemy activity in the area at the time.
