Killer executed in the death of a Spencer High School alum - WLTZ 38 | Columbus Georgia Regional News & Community

JACKSON, GA -The lawful execution of Andrew Allen Cook was carried out overnight.
 After a flurry of court activity, the killer of a Spencer High School Valedictorian died by lethal injection at 11:22 pm.
     The sentence was carried out after the United States Supreme Court denied Cook's request for a stay of execution at approximately 10:30 pm.
   Cook, the son of a career FBI agent, was condemned for the random attack in 1995. 19 year old Michelle Cartegena of Columbus and 22 year old Grant Hendrickson were gunned down at a local park near Mercer University where the two attended college.
