
It was not only a special day for some students of Cary Woods Elementary School, but also for Former White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs.
Third grade was the last time Gibbs walked down the halls of Cary Woods Elementary School.
"I remember the library and where the offices used to be", says Gibbs.
The Former Press Secretary and Auburn native attended Cary Woods, and today returned for a visit. making a special stop to talk with a group of fifth graders.
Gibbs talked about his role as press secretary, and spent most of the time answering questions from the kids
"our government on all levels depends on them eventually being involved", says Gibbs.
Gibbs says its important for children to understand his role and other roles in the government.
"learning about our history learning about the times that have shaped our city our state and our country are enormously valuable", says Gibbs.
The Former Press Secretary ended his visit by touring the school, And rehashing memories he'll never forget.
