LAGRANGE, Ga. (AP) — A former south Georgia television station owner has been sentenced to 1,000 years in prison on child sexual exploitation charges.
Peter Mallory, former owner of WCAG-TV-33 in LaGrange, was charged Tuesday in Troup County Superior Court.
Mallory was charged with 60 counts of sexual exploitation of children, invasion of privacy and tampering with evidence. Troup County Superior Court Judge Dennis Blackmon sentenced Mallory to 20 years on 50 of the counts and ordered him to serve a concurrent sentence of five years for each of the remaining 10 counts.
The man was arrested in 2011 at his television station after police searched his home and office and found child pornography stored on computer hard drives.
