
COLUMBUS, GA - The Columbus man accused of setting his girlfriend on fire makes his first appearance in court.
NBC 38 had the only camera rolling when 35-year-old Robert Williams appeared in front of the judge.
He is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery. Officials say he allegedly doused his 44 year-old girlfriend with lighter fluid and set her on fire Tuesday morning.
She is in critical condition, suffering from burns to her face, neck, chest and hands. Williams was also burned in the incident.
His bond was set at $100,000.
