
Source: Albany HeraldALBANY, GA - An Albany, Georgia police officer is recovering at home after the car he was driving was rammed by a woman who was allegedly texting and driving.
According to the Albany Herald, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly checking her text messages and crashed into two parked cars.
The Albany police officer was inside one of them, and was sent to the hospital around 2:30 Tuesday morning.
The driver was cited for failure to maintain lane, no driver's license on person and texting while driving.
