COLUMBUS, GA - For one Columbus woman, January 1, 2013 will be a day she will never forget.

Mom, 20-year-old Veronica Dean , welcomed baby Jaicen Rainey into the world at 7:06 Tuesday morning.

Jaicen is the first baby of the year in Columbus, born at the Medical Center. He was 7 pounds, 6 ounces and 20 inches long.

His mom says Jaicen wasn't due until January 10th.
