Smiths Station man killed in construction accident - WLTZ 38 | Columbus Georgia Regional News & Community

LEE COUNTY, AL - A 29 year old Smiths Station man was killed in a New Year's Eve construction accident in Smith Station, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

The 29-year-old man was apparently crushed to death after he became pinned between a dump truck and another piece of construction equipment.

The accident happened on Lee Road 315 off Summerville Road.

Authorities have not released the victims name and the incident is being investigated by the Lee County Coroner's Office.
