By Staff Reports- A Fort Benning soldier is indicted on federal child pornography charges.
A federal grand jury indicted 34 year old Leonard Talley on distribution and possession of child pornography Friday.
The indictment states Talley allegedly possessed and shipped inappropriate pictures between January and March of 2011.
He was first arrested on state charges last march, after local police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation seized computer equipment from his apartment.
Officials say Talley allegedly admitted to downloading 900 pornographic images, 400 of which involved children. Officials say Talley joined the Army in 2002.
