An
Opelika teenager and an Alexander City teenager were killed Sunday
afternoon in a single-vehicle crash.
The crash occurred just before 3 p.m. on Russell County 63, approximately 12 miles south of Opelika.
Khadijah Rashaun Core, 18, of Opelika and Jaquon Tremble, 13, of Alexander City were killed when the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee that Core was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
A third occupant in the vehicle was injured and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
