
(WBMA)- Shots rang out today at this federal courthouse in Birmingham, Alabama.
The US Marshal's Service says it happened when a courthouse worker shot himself in the head.
Local
news station WBMA says a source inside the courthouse said the man
walked into the chief clerk's office "mumbling about a will and then put
a gun to his head and pulled the trigger."
The news station says the FBI confirmed the source's report.
The US Marshals Service confirms to CNN the man was taken to the hospital, but the agency said his condition was unknown. The agency said there was no threat to the courthouse.
