
MEDIA RELEASE (Lee County, AL)-
At approximately 11:50 PM CST on December 7, 2012 the sheriff's office received multiple 911 calls about a disturbance at a residence in the 3100 block of Lee Road 188 near the town of Loachapoka in west Lee county.
Responding deputies learned a shooting had occurred and found three (3) persons who had suffered what appeared to be gunshot wounds. One of the victims identified as Lamar Lockhart (44) of Auburn had sustained at least one gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.
A second victim identified as Lamar J. Shanks (24) of Auburn had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head, neck and chest area and was transported to East Alabama Medical Center. Efforts to save Mr. Shanks were not successful and he was pronounced dead after arrival.
A third victim at whose residence the shootings took place was identified as Saoona Frazier (30). Ms. Frazier suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was treated and released from EAMC.
Initial investigation has revealed that a party with approximately 15 to 20 persons was in progress when a person present made remarks toward others in attendance. Another individual present then produced a handgun and began firing, striking the three victims.
All the victims were standing on the front porch of the residence when the shootings took place. The shooter then fled the scene.
An individual identified as Justin Rashad Wright (18) of Auburn is being sought for questioning in connection with this offense. Wright is described as a black male approximately 6 feet tall and weighing around 185 pounds.
