Staff Report (Opelika, AL) The Opelika Bulldogs are the last team standing in our viewing area.

The Bulldogs are chasing their first state championship in school history but they have their work cut out for them with the Buccaneers from Hoover.

Top ranked Hoover is undefeated and making their 13th appearance in the title game in the last 14 years. The two teams met November 1st and Hoover won by more than three touchdowns.

Bulldog fans are hoping for a major upset.

"Hoover is a really well coached team they are a very athletic team and they are a very self disciplined team everything they do, they do it well, they don't have a lot of weaknesses if you're going to play a Hoover team, they don't beat themselves, they are a very disciplined team, when we went up there earlier we weren't a good football team that night, our challenge is to be a better football team Friday night", said head coach Brian Blackmon.

Opelika and Hoover square off at 7:00 CST at Jordan Hare Stadium.
