COLUMBUS, GA - A local non profit is asking for your help finding families homes for the holidays.
Valley Interfaith Promise's Almost Home program began in June and is a transitional housing program to help families get back on their feet.
The organization works with 13 churches in the area to house a few families at a time, but this program would help families find a more stable shelter for about six months while working on finding permanent housing.
"What we're trying to do is partner with landlords and churches that have properties and be able to work out a six months arrangements, being able to supplement the rent that the families may not be able to afford on the market level," Director Victor Feliciano says.
