Erickson backs off Chambliss Challenge - WLTZ 38 | Columbus Georgia Regional News & Community

(CNN)-Conservative activist Erick Erickson says he won't challenge Republican Senator Saxby Chambliss in 2014.

Erickson is upset with Chambliss because the Georgia Republican publicly broke with Grover Norquist and his anti-tax increase pledge.

Erickson, who is also a CNN contributor, first floated the idea of running earlier this week.
The blogger later said a Senate campaign would be hard on his family and he would have to take a significant pay cut if he won.

Still, Erickson says someone should challenge Chambliss, even if it isn't him.
