PHENIX CITY, AL - Four Phenix City families are without a home after a fire destroyed two duplexes.
According to the Ladonia Fire Department, they were called to a fire at two duplexes on Dolphin Drive off Old Opelika Road around 5:30 Thursday evening.
The Ladonia Volunteer Fire Department teamed up with the Crawford Volunteer Department, Uchee Creek and Smiths Station Fire and Rescue to put out the flames.
Officials say the two structures are completely destroyed. The Red Cross is now helping the families get back on their feet.
