Fort Benning's Maneuver Center of Excellence Marching Band is a main stay at many of the  activities you see on post every day. But this weekend they are taking their show on the road to an NFL football game.
This year the band is practicing twice as much preparing not only for their holiday concert but for a huge NFL game in Miami for a big Veterans Day Celebration.
"We are going down to the Miami Dolphins. We're going to play a pre show tailgate party, we'll have our Latin band on one side of the stadium, we'll have our ceremonial band on the other side of the stadium, doing a show that we do at out Ft. Benning graduations and then to cap it all off we get to play the National Anthem just prior to the game" said band leader Jeremiah Keillor
The band is expanding on their time in the sunshine state incorporating their strategic outreach mission.  Keillor said "We're not only going down and play at the Miami Dolphins which is a great honor, we're really looking forward to it but tie it around that event, we're doing multiple concerts at veterans hospitals in Tampa, Melbourne as well as Miami and do some recruiting mission in the local high schools while we're there with our different ensembles."
The Maneuver center of excellence band is easily one of the military busiest bands performing over 550 missions this year alone..though they're quite busy they are still making time for their yearly holiday concert even collaborating will local schools.
"We're are going to be partnering with Lloyd Elementary school and McBride Elementary school, from here on Ft. Benning, using them to help us sing a couple of different tunes, they're going to play with the concert band," said Keillor.
The Maneuver Center of Excellence Band will be performing this Sunday down in Miami at the big game. To see them locally all you had to do is go to the River Center on December 9th for their Holiday Concert. .
