Lee County, AL - Lee County Superintendent Stephen Nowlin is moving to Jefferson County to serve as the new superintendent.

Nowlin will remain as the superintendent for Lee County Schools until December.

The Jefferson County School Board voted four to one, naming Nowlin as the new superintendent.

Nowlin says he's sad to leave Lee County, but it's a great opportunity to move to Jefferson County.

Nowlin has served as superintendent in Lee County since 2008.
