Crimestoppers search for rape suspect - WLTZ 38 | Columbus Georgia Regional News & Community

Columbus, GA - Columbus Crimestoppers is now asking for the public's help in identifying a rape suspect.

According to a release from Crimestoppers the alleged attack occurred last Thursday afternoon at a home near the intersection of Saint Mary's Road and Irwin Way.

The victim tells police the suspect assaulted her after posing as a door to door salesman.

He is described as a black male in his thirties, around 5'8" to 6'0", weighing about 150 pounds, bald or has a low haircut. He is also described as dark complexion, shave or acne bumps on face.

The suspect was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and sunglasses.

Any information about this attack that leads to an arrest or indictment could lead to a $1,000 cash reward.
