Columbus, GA - A fatal early morning car accident has left one dead and another in the hospital.
According to Columbus Police, the drivers were traveling close to the intersection of Thyer and Buena Vista Road when the accident occurred.
Police say the east bound driver crossed into the center lane hitting the west bound driver head on.
Authorities say the east bound driver; Larry Lamar Jones was pronounced dead at 8:05 AM by Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley. The west bound driver was taken to the Medical Center with no visible injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
