Columbus Police are investigating a snatch and grab robbery that happened over the weekend at a Waffle House.
According
to Columbus Police reports, the snatch and grab robbery happened at the Waffle House on Veterans Parkway late Friday night.
Reports say that the suspect was paying for his meal when he spotted a $100.00 laying next to the register. That's when he allegedly grabbed the bill and fled the scene.
Store employees described the man as a white male with a slim build and had black hair. They also say he was wearing a red cap, blue shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.
He was also wearing a sliver bracelet and silver ring.
Anybody with any information on the robbery is asked to give Columbus Police at 706-653-3400.
Meanwhile Columbus Police are hoping a new way to report crime helps track down some armed robbers. According to police reports the armed robbery happened at the China Inn Express Friday night on August 21st.
Five suspects barged into the restaurant, three with guns and demanded money.
One
employee was shot during the robbery. But now Columbus Crimestoppers is
offering $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and
indictment in the case.
