
Courtesy: The GA Department of CorrectionsThe Georgia Supreme Court announced today they are upholding the murder conviction and life sentence of a Columbus man who shot his pregnant wife and dumped her body in a pond.
According to the Georgia Supreme Court Zyderrious Platt will serve out the rest of his life sentence for the 2009 murder of his pregnant wife, Jilani Platt, who was ten weeks pregnant.
Judge Bobby Peters' handed down two consecutive life sentences to Platt and the state's highest court now upholds that sentence.
Platt will be eligible for parole in 60 years when he is 93-years-old.
