
Atlanta, GA (WXIA) - The Consul General of France in Atlanta paid tribute on Thursday to 12 World War Two vets who helped liberate France.
Seven of the veterans who received the honor are from Georgia.
The veterans were given the National Order of the Legion of Honor which is the highest honor in France.
Napoleon Bonaparte founded the Legion of Honor in 1802.
