LAGRANGE, GA - A LaGrange woman is facing charges after an alleged argument results in a stabbing.
Monique Newson is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a knife during the commission of a crime and interfering with calls for emergency assistance.
Officials say they responded to Greenville Street after they received a 9-1-1 call that was disconnected.
When they got there, they say they found the victim suffering from stab wounds at the Budget Inn. He told police Newson stabbed him during a fight over money, then took the phone away from him when he tried to call for help.
Newson was arrested on scene and the victim was treated for his injuries.
