Atlanta, GA (WGCL) - An Atlanta Falcons player found himself behind bars last night.
Police say they asked to leave the scene of an emergency they were responding to.
Falcons' defensive end John Abraham says little as he hustles out of the Fulton County jail early this morning.
His troubles began yesterday.
As an unidentified woman dangles from a balcony of the 12 hotel in Atlantic Station.
This exclusive video shows the woman as she climbs over a rail, high above the ground.
Witness, Nikki Hightower says, "I had to walk away because, at one point, I thought she was about to jump."
As that drama played out above, down on the street, police had to wrestle with another problem.
Officer John Chafee says, "Officers roped off the area and set up that perimeter and we had a male that came through that tape and refused orders to get back on the other side of the tape."
Police say that was the Falcons defensive end. Police told him to move, but they say he wouldn't listen.
Chafee explains, "After he continued to refuse to leave our scene, he was placed under arrest without event."
Police and firefighters eventually talked the woman back inside. No word yet on why she climbed out on the balcony in the first place.
Abraham is facing two misdemeanor charges, obstruction of firefighters and obstruction of police.
