    For Brookstone Volleyball player Joanna Leger, it's all about the setup. Whether it's setting up the perfect shot on the Volleyball court, or setting herself up for success in the classroom.

"She's just really alert and attentive and pays attention to her teammates, where they are," said her coach Cindy Todt.

"She makes good decisions, and that's a lot of what setting is. Is you know, every ball is different. And every time you have a choice to make and she makes really good decisions to make as what to do with the ball, what hitter to send it to, based on the past and what we can try to do to attack and win the point."

And no surprise here, she's just as alert in school. She has a weighted GPA of 4.7, and an unweighted GPA of 4.0.

"I always pay attention in class and I just try to do all my work that I can and if I ever don't understand anything, I'll go to my teachers for extra help and just try to get it down, because I'm kind of a perfectionist in the classroom," said Leger.

She obviously sets a good example, but her leadership doesn't just help out the team. It helps out Coach Todt, as well.

"This is actually my first year at Brookstone, first year with the team and I've really enjoyed getting to know her,"  said Todt. "She's been a real help for me. Just once again, because she's so consistent with her leadership. She's encouraging to the girls. She's very positive, she's very even-keeled. She makes good decisions on the court. And that's really important for our team, and for our success this season."

Leger didn't get this way by chance, however. She likes to set up good shots, and high goals.

She hopes to attend either UGA or Texas in the fall, and aspires to be a journalist.
