
(NBC News) - Could spanking lead to mental disorders for your children.
According to a new study spanking children could leave a mark for years to come.
The new study finds children who were subject to harsh physical punishment like pushing, shoving and hitting were more likely to experience mental disorders.
These children were not physically or sexually abused.
Mood and anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug abuse and personality disorders were more common among children who were spanked.
