COLUMBUS, GA - Columbus police are searching for the suspect in the city's most recent murder.
31-year-old Oscar Senior is wanted in connection to the shooting death of Charlie Willis.
"My uncle was fun, he liked to have fun, we liked to make jokes and stuff," Jamal Body says.
Body says he can't believe his uncle, 31-year-old Charles Willis, is gone.
"We are shocked, we never thought it would happen."
Willis was fatally shot in the head while in his car at the intersection of Lawyers Lane and 7th Street around five Friday afternoon. When authorities arrived on scene, Willis was laying on the street outside of his 2007 Chevy Cobalt.
He was transported to the Medical Center were he was pronounced dead a few hours later.
Police say 31-year-old Oscar Senior allegedly pulled the trigger. He is facing murder and armed robbery charges.
"Let's get him put away, locked up," Body says.
NBC 38 also spoke off camera with Willis's cousin, who was in the car with Willis at the time of the murder. He says his cousin knew Senior and the two of them saw him just last week."
"They were old friends I guess," Body says.
Willis's cousin was not injured in the shooting. Willis left behind two daughters. His family says funeral arrangements are still pending.
Willis's murder is the second in the city in a week.
25-year-old Jeffery Morgan was also fatally shot inside his car on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Two men are in custody in connection to that murder. Police are still searching for a third suspect, 22-year-old Edward Love.
