Fire destroys Midland home - WLTZ 38 | Columbus Georgia Regional News & Community

COLUMBUS, GA -A Midland man loses his home to a fire last night.

Fire officials say his home in a gated farm neighborhood on Midland Road caught fire around seven last night.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters were on scene for more than six hours.

The home is a total loss. Officials estimate the damage at more than $100,000.

The homeowner asked for privacy and he moves forward.
