Noel Morgan (Source: Muscogee Co. Jail)A 92-year-old man is charged with murder in his wife's stabbing death.
According to Deputy Coroner Charles Newton, paramedics were dispatched to Sugar Mill Apartments on Schomberg Road Wednesday night. Paramedics initially responded to a call about a heart attack, but upon arrival realized 90-year-old Annie Morgan had a stab wound to the chest.
She was pronounced dead at the Medical Center and taken to Atlanta for autopsy. Officials say the autopsy found an unknown object had punctured her aorta.
Her husband, 92-year-old Noel Morgan was arrested on Friday night and charged with murder. He pleaded not guilty in Recorder's Court on Saturday morning. Noel Morgan is being held in the Muscogee County Jail without bond.
