5K Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Fun Run

Columbus, Georgia - Columbus State University (CSU) NAACP Collegiate Chapter will host its 5K Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Fun Run on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This awareness event will take place during ‘Breast Cancer Awareness' Month at Lakebottom Park located on Cherokee Avenue, Columbus, Georgia. Please register to participate in this event to help raise funds and awareness of the importance of early breast cancer detection. Come out; get a great and mild exercise as you help fight!

CSU NAACP Collegiate Chapter is encouraging survivors, families of lost loved ones, various organizations on Columbus State University's campus, religious/ community leaders and all residents in the Tri-City area to attend this event. Early Registration (Saturday, September 24, 2011) is $20, Student Registration is $15, Children (ages 8-14) are $10, and Group Discount for a group of 5 will be $60 for the entire group. There will be volunteers present to watch participants' children, if needed, as well as light refreshments served. Michael Soul of WFXE (Davis Broadcasting, Inc.) will be the Emcee of this AMAZING event!

Come out and support the awareness with us! A portion of the proceeds will go to a local non-profit organization in the community.
