Two Ft. Benning soldiers die in Iraq

Two Fort Benning soldiers die from injuries sustained during a vehicle roll-over in Iraq.

25-year-old Sergeant Aaron Arthur of Lake City, South Carolina and 23-year-old Specialist Lakeshia Bailey of Columbus died on March 8. They were both heavy vehicle drivers, assigned to the 203rd Brigade Support Battalion.

Both soldiers have received numerous medals.

Sergeant Arthur:

- Army Commendation Medal
- 2 Army Good Conduct Medals
- Two National Defense Service Medal
- Iraq Campaign Medal
- Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal Global War on Terrorism Service Medal Army Service Ribbon Overseas Service Ribbon Combat Action Badge

Specialist Bailey:

- Army Commendation Medal
- Army Achievement Medal
- Army Good Conduct Medal
- National Defense Service Medal
- Two Iraq Campaign Medal
- Global War on Terrorism Service Medal
- Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon Army Service Ribbon Overseas Service Ribbon

A memorial service will honor both soldiers on Friday in Iraq.
