Walmart Better Prepared for Black Friday

Julie Bercik

A number of retail stores stayed open this Thanksgiving holiday, Walmart is one of them.
The Gateway Walmart had a steady flow of traffic all day.
Some picked up last minute ingredients for dinner, others getting a head start at shopping.
Around midnight the store expects lines to start forming for Black Friday sales.
This year the company is taking a more proactive approach, after an employee in Long Island died after being trampled by customers.
"We're going to be very organized this year with how we do our blitz merchandise and our yearly event merchandise,” said Ben thames, Store Manager. “When you come into the store, rather than grabbing off of a stacked base, we'll have directions for all the customers on how they can shop for that merchandise so it's a safer environment.
Thames said most check out lanes will be open during peak hours.

Walmart didn't have certain items that were advertised. Not even on line. I eneded up ordering from Amazon.com
