Pair Arrested in Russell County Drug Bust

The Russell County Sheriff’s office has arrested 2 suspects in a drug bust on Thornberry Circle. According to Lieutenant Heath Taylor, 41-year-old Kelly Battle and 22-year-old Gabriell Hollis were in possession of marijuana, ecstasy. During the seizure authorities found a quarter pound of marijuana, ecstasy pills, 24-thousand dollars in cash and four vehicles were taken. Battle and Hollis were arrested Tuesday night and are both being charged with possession of controlled substances. The cars and cash were seized as being a part of the local drug trade. Both were being held at the Russell County Jail. Battle was released on bail. Hollis remains in custody for her current charges and probation violation she currently has no bond.
