14th Combat Support Hospital Deploys to Iraq

Family, friends and loved ones said their goodbyes this morning to more than 300 men and women serving with the 14th Combat Support Hospital at Ft. Benning. The soldiers are deploying to Iraq to conduct a broad range of combat health support operations in three locations. The unit will be providing health care to detainees, coalition forces, and other multi-national forces in Iraq, working with the Operations Task Force. This unit served in Afghanistan in September of 2005 to support the Combined Joint Task Force 76 and International Security Assistance Force-Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
