“We’ve Got You Under Our Wing:” Aflac Has a New Tagline

Stefanie Tiso

Aflac announces a new integrated marketing campaign called "Aflac Wingspan." It's the same look, but a whole new feel. The forward-thinking campaign will be seen in print, online, on television and on social networking.
"We've got you under our wing." It's Aflac's new tag line. And it makes its debut in a marketing effort called "Get the Aflacts." The campaign was unveiled to employees this morning. And it focuses on explaining what Aflac does and how it's different from major medical insurance. It's something that the company's found extremely important during these uncertain economic times.
“We're mindful that everybody has been impacted, to include Aflac. But we didn't just want to be on the defensive and wait and ride out the economic conditions. We wanted to be on the offensive and do some things that we know will help to stimulate sales and grow our company. It's not a quick fix or anything like that. It's not a campaign, but it's a system. A prolonged system that we're doing to help us to ride out this economic condition and hopefully leave the company in a much, much better position at the end,” said Executive Vice President of Corporate Services, Audrey Tillman.
There are three new commercials that will be part of this campaign. One is being produced with Pixar Animation Studio. The campaign will also be geared toward new media like Facebook and Twitter. And of course, each facet of the new campaign will feature the beloved Aflac duck. Thousands logged onto Aflac's associate webcast Tuesday night to watch the campaign launch live in Nashville, Tennessee. The commercial being produced with Pixar will feature characters from the soon-to-be released blockbuster film, "Up."
