Lilly Gordon

FIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS WERE FIRST TO RESPOND TO THE FATAL SHOOTINGS AT DOCTORS HOSPITAL...
TODAY THEY RECEIVED AWARDS OF VALOR FROM THE MUSCOGEE COUNTY MARSHAL'S OFFICE.

MARSHAL GREG COUNTRYMAN AWARDED THE PLAQUES TO DEPUTY ALICIA DAVENPORT, CORPORAL BELVIN MILLNER, COLUMBUS POLICE CORPORAL MICHAEL DAHNKE (DANK-EE) AND COLUMBUS POLICE OFFICERS JONATHAN GOODRICH AND GREGORY ANDERSON.
THE MARSHAL ALSO PRESENTED HOSPITAL SECURITY GUARD WAYNE MICHAUX (MEE-SHOW) WITH AN AWARD OF VALOR FOR HELPING TO CONTAIN THE SHOOTER.
MICHAUX SAID THE RECOGNITION IS BITTERSWEET.
"Mixed feelings. I mean it was a tragedy. Two of my close friends that were killed there plus one of the patients coming in. It is still deep in me. Get a little nervous, but I'm getting there."

THESE AWARDS OF VALOR WERE THE FIRST TO BE HANDED OUT BY THE MUSCOGEE COUNTY MARSHAL'S OFFICE UNDER MARSHAL COUNTRYMAN.
