The Frank and Laura Lewis Library is finally open.
The state of art facility features smart classroom technology, a media production suite, wireless technology and HD projector, and plenty of books for research.
The 45,000 square foot building was also built with the environment in mind.
"This building has many windows. Part of that window system includes five light monitors that are on one of the roof systems,” said Loren Pinkerman, Library Director. “These light monitors allow natural light to spill into the library. For example, you come in the front door of the library and light is spilling down on you from two levels."
Even construction of the library was environmentally friendly.
Crews took the parking lot the old library stood on and recycled the waste.
